The Holidays are upon us and this is a great time of year where people want to enjoy themselves to the fullest. This can often mean a get away to a quaint bed & breakfast or cabin in the mountains. Most businesses in the lodging industry require specific minimum stay requirements over the holidays. If you use WebReserv as your Bed & Breakfast or Vacation Rental booking system, then you can easily manage minimum holiday stay requirements. Here’s how:
Setting up Holiday Hours
Log into your WebReserv Account.
Go to Setup – Business Information. Click on Opening Hours & Holidays. To update the Holiday hours, click on Edit Holidays.
On this page, you can set up specific holidays including the dates and if there is a minimum stay requirement for the room option. The system even allows you to set a different minimum stay for different room choices, if desired.
When you are done with the setup, click Save.
When a customer makes a booking for any of the holiday dates set in this section, they will have to meet the minimum stay requirement in order to book. If a customer books for less time, they can still make the booking, but the rate will be adjusted to meet the minimum stay time.
In the example below, a customer booked the Suite for 3 nights in December. The reservation was allowed, but in the rates it indicates an adjustment to 5 nights since the dates fall within the Christmas Holiday that was set up by the business.
