I have setup my google calendar sync within webreserv but when webreserv attempts to sync, google is not allowing stating that it is “suspicious behavior”. Is there a setting within google calendar that will allow webreserv to sync?

      Hi Steven,

We found out that lately Google blocks any third party software trying to access their system. However, when you try to synchronize WebReserv and Google calendar, you can go to http://www.google.com/blocked to authorize the access to WebReserv. Also, you may receive an Email from Google saying someone tried to access your account. Read the Email carefully so you don’t block WebReserv accidentally.

    Hi Maira,

Thanks for the feedback. We will take it in account for next publications.

I’m a bit late stumbling on this but this looks like an excellent feature. I’m working on a new site for a local hairdresser soon. Does this software manage that sort of thing also…e.g. Automating the appointment schedule for 5-6 employees on one platform?

Any idea when the customization of the google calendar data export will be introduced? I love the feature, but the default info that loads is mostly useless to us. It’s nice to have the blocking in iCal, but it’d be awesome if I was able to see what I needed in one place, on my iphone, etc.

      Hello Edan,

The Google Calendar customization feature has been released. With this feature, you can customize the title and the body of the Google calendar entries. To create your own calendar text, go to Setup – Business Information – Advanced Options and locate the Calendar title and body fields.

You can enter your own text and also use the template keywords. See http://www.webreserv.com/resources/na/help/admin/setup_template_keywords.htm for a list of all keywords.

This is a great feature, however the information webreserv exports to Google calendar is not the pertinent info we need to be seeing. Is there any way to change what information and portions of the reservation are sent and show up in Google calendar?

Hello Bentley. We are planning to enhance the Google Calendar synchronization so you can customize the text that is sent. Look for this feature in the early fall.

I was able to input my Google Calendar login info in Webreserv, but it has been active for several weeks and I do not yet see any booking information showing up in my Google Calendar. Do I need to take any further action to use this tool?

      Hi Glenn,

Once you’ve activated the Google Calendar synchronization, your Google Calendar should update within 5-10 minutes and all new reservations should show up within minutes. If it’s not working for you, please contact our support to have it resolved.

Yes, the external calendar option is currently only available in the paid versions.

    Hello,

I tried following the instructions above for integrating my Webreserv booking calendar with my Google calendar, but the “External Calendar Integration” option is not visible. Is this feature still available? Would be REALLY great to have for our vacation rental business.

    Thanks!

It’s updating Google Calendar… Yea! But the time zone is incorrect. I have my WebReserv system set up as MST but everything on Google is showing up 2 hours behind or possibly posted in EST. The timezone on Google is set to MST as well.

Hello Chad. The Google Calendar Interface has been updated and it should now use the correct timezone.

      Sincerely,
      WebReserv Support
